We simply love a good animal news item that features our gals taking their leisure after a hard life reproducing for our dining pleasure!

An olive grove in Cyprus has “recruited” retired hens who are done with their egg-laying years, and would otherwise be slaughtered, to grow old in the groves, dining on larvae that become olive tree pests, and helping reduce disease and waste.
