To my beloved, most valued PRI Update subscribers:
I am so excited to announce my new weekly email newsletter: Thirsty Science.
As many of you know, I wear a few hats: hula-hooping naughty nature video explainer; visual artist; storyteller; and newsletter-maker! Setting up a substack allows me to offer you more of what I love to do, more often. I’m ready to share work in vibrant color and different formats; offer narrated issues you can listen to on the go; and have more community conversations.
I left my salaried job halfway through the year and am now making my art full time! I would not have been able to make that leap without your material and emotional support of the PRI Update over the past two years. Thank you for being part of this journey!
The email newsletter will cover the animal queendom topics you’ve expressed the most interest in, and much more:
matriarchy
monogamy
menopause
covert animal resistance
single parenting
fighting fair; fighting dirty
grandparents
parasites
gender
altruism
divorce
pleasure.
The weekly paid newsletter content will be PG-13 to R-rated. Every subscriber on the list will get a monthly illustrated digest that’s more PG-oriented, which can be printed out and enjoyed at home.
The in-print monthly PRI Update will pause indefinitely after the upcoming October issue.

Attention Young PRI Update Readers and Their Guardians:
The highlight of creating the PRI Update has been the ardent young subscribers who have lit up my PO Box for two years with their letters to the editor and whose parents have filled my inbox with pictures of youthful delivery day joy. Please fill out this short survey so we can continue to meet the needs and wishes of young subscribers. I want to stay in touch. My PO Box is always open to you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. You make my work such a joy.
